E  RESTAURANT  GRIEG0  “CARPE  DIEM”. 
Te cu algun tempo pasá Aruba tabata conoce un asina yamá restaurant griego “Carpe Diem”, situá otro banda di caminda di Hotel Renaissance, mas pabao na L.G. Smith Boulevard.
Manera describí caba na varios ocasion, aki na Aruba restaurantnan no ta wordo habrí a base di investigacion profundo ni “masterplanning”, siguí pa adquisicion pro-activo, pero a base di kiko cualkier aventurero por tin den su cabez, y ofrece esaki na Otmar Oduber, acompañá of no pa un envelop cu contenido.
Esun cu tabata maneha e restaurant aki, si mi no ta kiboká, tabata un asina yamá profesional di tennis procedente for di Hungria, kende - en bista di su barica fuera di lo normal – visibelmente mester tabata sufri di obesitas, pero kende sinembargo, cu un ciga gordo den boca, tabata duna “les di tennis” riba Aruba.
Conocí di por papia habilmente y elocuentemente, di acuerdo cu informacion fidedigno, e tabata sa di kita e ultimo cennan gespaar for di algun dama di un edad un poco mas avanzá,  pa diripiente e figura aki converti su mes den un empresario riba Aruba, sin ningun conocimento di e materia, sin experiencia y sin preparacion of educacion!
Ta di comprende cu e cos aki no por a sigui bon. Si bo weita e potret adhunto di un plato sirbí na e restaurant aki, abo lo a keda cu apetit? Mi ta sigur cu no!

Permitimi copia algun comentario cu e restaurant aki a ricibi internacionalmente, pa colmo for di turistanan bishitando nos isla; asumiendo cu generalmente pueblo ta comprende Ingles, mi ta opta pa no pone e traduccion acerca.

Don't bother spending any time or money here. Our staff member accidentally charged my credit card for another patron’s bill. It took 25 minutes for the owner to manage to correct the error. THATS NOT THE ISSUE.
HE BERATED 4 staff members in front of all the patrons during this 25 minutes. The mannerisms he displayed were absolutely unnecessary. The way he was ranting and raving you would have thought, the restaurant was on fire.
 
The Staff was so ashamed.....


“WORST  DINNER  EXPERIENCE  EVER”

Being attracted to the nice setting and furniture, we decided to give this restaurant a go. What a MISTAKE. We made our reservations early and judging by the reservation book at that time, it was going to be a quite night. We arrived on time and were greeted nicely and seated. We were celebrating a special occasion, which we had informed the hostess of at the time of making the reservation. She had assured us we would have a splendid evening. The server came over to tell us about some special items and it was already clear she did not do her homework. When drinks were taken we asked questions about their so-called fresh martinis and the ingredients, to which an answer was given only after quite some inquiries with the bar. So we finally ordered the drinks and these took a good twenty minutes to make it to our table. Looking around we were a bit shocked as we were only of the four tables occupied for the duration of our dinner experience. When we finally were ordering, the moussaka was not available and one would think this would be announced prior to ordering, as two people in our party were really looking forward to this dish. So other dishes were decided upon. Appetizers and Main courses were ordered and repeated by the server to avoid mistakes, I guess. The appetizers were finally served.. two out of six. One hot, one cold and four pending. The missing four arrived twenty minutes later, with one wrong order, which was left on the table and the correct one coming after ten minutes. More bread was requested, as we had gone hungry and had eaten what was provided. This bread took yet another fifteen minutes to arrive even though the server was kindly reminded three times. By time I was half way through my appetizer suddenly I had the Main course standing beside it. Three of the six dinner orders were wrong orders and we were told they still brought the dinners out like this, although they noticed they were wrong, so we would have to wait no longer. REALLY ??? We sent nothing back and by now were disappointed to the point of no return. Two of the dinners were not really eaten due to the errors committed. We were assured two dinners would be removed from the bill. After all this who wants dessert. A cake was brought out for the aggravated birthday boy turning 65. Even for this we were asked to lend a lighter to light the candle, which we kindly had to request the server to return to us. We asked to see the manager, but were told no manager was working at this establishment. So we asked for the owner, who seemed to be out of the country. The owners daughter was in the restaurant , seemingly doing the cash register, but failed to attend to any of these issues during our time at the restaurant. SHOCKING. We asked for the bill paid and later realized only one dinner was removed from the bill. All in all this has been the worst dinner experience any of us has had up to that day. My recommendations? Do you really want to know? As a new restaurant coming to Aruba, one would think they would be in top shape, in order to be on par and better than the competition, which there is plenty of. We all left furious.

Tempo cu mi a caba di studia na Hotelschool na Den Haag, e hotel aki tabata e prome hotel unda cu mi a traha como recepcionista/front office clerk y despues como night auditor.
E tempo aya e tabata conocí bao nomber di “Strand Hotel”, bao maneho di su doño sr. Ike Cohen, d.f.m.
Mi por bisa cu mi relacion cu sr. Ike Cohen tabata hopi bon, y p’esey tabata un lastima cu, pa motibo di un desacuerdo serio cu su señora, mi mester a dicidi di bandona e trabao ey di un dia pa otro.
Mi ta kere di por papia den nomber di tur trahador di Strand Hotel di e tempo ey, ora mi bisa cu e trato tabata bon, e aspecto di e hotel mes tabata “de lo mehor”, y cualkier asunto cu tabata rekeri atencion, di biaha tabata wordo atendí, si no tabata pa e personal mes, tabata pa mr. Ike Cohen himself!

Kiko bo ta weita awor?
E hotel aki awor a para bira un ehempel “briyante” y yamativo di e actual total  ausencia di un maneho riba tereno di turismo di Otmar Oduber y e gobierno Eman.
Si bo a bishita hotel Talk of the Town den por ehempel e ultimo 4 lunanan, lo bo a ripara cu e toilet di homber banda di e entrada tin dos labamano y dos toilet formá door di plachinan di hero (modelo Americano “stalls”). Un di e dos toiletnan aki ya pa 4 luna no por ser usá, pasobra e plachi na parti dilanti unda tambe tin e porta di entrada, ta colga di un banda y no por wordo será na yabi; tambe un di e dos labamanonan tampoco por wordo usá pasobra e cranchi di awa no ta instalá 100% y casi ta cay abao, y awa no ta sali mes.
Y ningun doño, ningun gerente of manager, ningun supervisor, ningun personal di mantenimento of cualkier otro miembro di personal, cu ta worry cu e situacion aki, corda pa haci algo na dje; no …djis lague manera e ta, y aki un aña e dos cosnan aki ainda no ta drechá.

Y ta di e manera aki nos turismo ta cabando na nada. E calidad di nos turismo ta cos di yora, un lastima total, y inacceptabelmente deteriorá …. y un di e motibonan di esaki – of mihor bisá: e motibo principal di esaki - ta cu OTMAR  ODUBER  Y  MIKE  EMAN  NO  TA  HACIENDO  NADA  NA  MASTERPLANNING,  PERO  TAMPOCO  NA  MANEHO  DI  CALIDAD.

Otmar Oduber y Mike Eman ta culpabel y responsabel pa e maneho aventuroso di Aruba, y lo mester responde pa esaki den e eleccion na september proximo!
